You see, before I became an aunt to my sweet little nieces, I was surrounded by testosterone- big time. Living with two sons, a husband, a male dog, and a male cat left me feeling very outnumbered. For awhile, I gave up even trying to be girly. I didn't wear much makeup or pretty clothes. I didn't mind wearing scuffed shoes, and heck, I never wore jewelry. I was okay with that...until my first niece was born.
Shopping for a little girl reminded me how much fun it is to be a girl! I started buying nicer clothes, wearing make-up (heck! I even put on some lipstick!), wearing earrings and pretty necklaces, and found that I had a serious thing for handbags!
Even though I changed my ways, I do sometimes slip up.
Well, I think I found a way to remedy that some what. Enter chicBuds. chicBuds are some seriously sweet earcandy! I adore the fact that they are retractable. However, for someone who wishes to be reminded that girls deserve pretty things, tmy favorite thing about the chicBuds are the Swarovski Crystals that grace these beauties! I'd love to have the black buds with watermellon Swarovski Crystals. So feminine!
Check them out! What a terrific gift these would make. :) Now I just need to talk JC into getting me a pair for Christmas!

Oh yes, it's true. After all the roaring the Tyrannosaurus and Brachiosaurus with Jake, crashing the Hot Wheels race cars with Ian, playing catch in the back yard, and cleaning up muddy footprints after games of tackle football in the rain, it is sometimes hard for me to remember how to be girly.You see, before I became an aunt to my sweet little nieces, I was surrounded by testosterone- big time. I know what my big Christmas present is. I am so excited, I can't wait for Christmas. I have been blessed. On Thanksgiving day on Twitter people were posting their Christmas wishes on Tweetmas. Oh, why not, just for fun, I wished for an iPod Touch. A few hours later, I had a message from a woman who had one in like new condition that she wanted to sell. This amazing lady sold my mom an iPod Touch for $75!! It arrived the other week, I charged it up and checked it out for about an hour then, like the dutiful daughter I am, I packed it back up and told mom it had arrived and was in wonderful condition. My dad came and picked up the box and now I am as excited about Christmas as the kids are.So, now I am getting this awesome blessing and I need accessories right? On Twitter I found out about the #1 must have accessory for my iPod Touch and that accessory is chicBuds. ChicBuds are the most beautiful earbuds I have ever seen. They come in white or black and are encrusted with Swarovski Crystals. The watermelon colored ones would look so awesome with my iPod Touch, especially paired with the Vera Bradley Pinwheel Pink media case that is also on my wish list. Sure enough there was a link to my blog post. I emailed Ms. chicBud Elf back, with shaking hands. Why were my hands shaking? Because I was close to possibly getting the coolest set of ear buds around!
As many of you know I have been in turmoil over chicBuds and so when I was emailing back to Ms. chicBud Elf I felt close, but maybe not close enough?
For those wondering, I did donate the money to Feeding America that I was going to use to buy my own set of totally stupendously beautiful, I know I would rock the house, chicBuds. I just could not let people go hungry. I should feel good about that I suppose, yet secretly I wanted to be able to do both.
Now I will have a present under the tree! YAY!!

I Was Spotted By The chicBud Elf!!!
I have been Elfed and in the best possible way. Ms. chicBud Elf contacted me via my blog to let me know I had been Elfed and to check out the chicBud Elf blog.Sure enough there was a link to my blog post. I emailed Ms. chicBud Elf back, with shaking hands. Why were my hands shaking? Because I was close to possibly getting the coolest set of ear buds around!
As many of you know I have been in turmoil over chicBuds and so when I was emailing back to Ms. chicBud Elf I felt close, but maybe not close enough?
